Industry and production
BEng in Mechanical and Production Engineering (2013). My career ran from the lathe to technical wholesale, from there into shop-floor supervision and quality management — and through factories on three continents. It means I understand the machinist’s view, the buyer’s view and the quality manager’s view, because I’ve held all three roles.

ICT, information security and systems design
Alongside the Quality Manager role I serve as ICT Manager at Kopar Oy, responsible for the company’s information technology environment. In January 2026 I qualified as a Cyber Security Specialist through the Specialist Vocational Qualification in Business.

Designing internal business systems
I have designed and architected internal systems for my employer for collecting and refining information and supporting decisions — the concept, data model and architecture my own work. These aren’t individual scripts but complete systems, fitting together different data sources, user roles and processes.
I don’t publish the details or names, because they are my employer’s property. The underlying skill — clarifying requirements, designing the data model, architecture and rollout — is transferable, and can be discussed in more detail one to one.
Lightweight tools for small organisations
Many small companies and associations are stuck between two bad options: no suitable software exists, or it’s priced for large enterprises. A licence fee runs every month for a system three people use and where a tenth of the functionality is needed.
This gap interests me: a tool built for one bounded problem, run on your own machine or your own server, without a recurring licence cost and without your data touring the world. AI can run locally, a database can be a single file, and the number of users shouldn’t be what you’re billed on.

I have built and maintain several WordPress sites, for both associations and businesses. In practice this covers the whole chain: domains, hosting, site structure and design, content, security and ongoing maintenance.
